BIG NEWS!

I can't believe it's been over two months since I last posted. I am so sorry I've been absent from the blog, this is the longest I've gone without writing since starting Marie a la Mode five and a half years ago. But I have a really good excuse!

Drastic Measures

After a tough few months, I thought I needed a change - a fresh start - so on a whim I had my hair stylist at Ponytails + Horsehoes cut 6" off my locks and it feels sooooo good! I also went a little bit lighter for the summer. My hair hasn't been this short since 2008. It was about time! Now I just have to figure out how to style it ; ).

I'm all for comfortable outfits these days! To be honest with you if I had a choice between wearing a girly dress and  high heels or non-tight pants, a comfy tee and flats, I'd pick the latter, hands down. I like wearing outfits I can breathe in and wear the whole day, like this one I wore on the weekend.

Les Fleurs

"Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." - Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestly in one of my all-time favorite films 'The Devil Wears Prada." (She was AMAZING in it! Love her.) But it's true, come springtime you see printed flowers on clothing in almost every store! And I will gladly wear said clothing, whether it's a tired seasonal trend or not ; ).
