"Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." - Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestly in one of my all-time favorite films 'The Devil Wears Prada." (She was AMAZING in it! Love her.) But it's true, come springtime you see printed flowers on clothing in almost every store! And I will gladly wear said clothing, whether it's a tired seasonal trend or not ; ).

Fancy
Sorry for my lack of blogging. It's been a crazy couple of weeks! Crazy as in I don't think I've ever been this busy in my life! With a wedding coming up right around the corner, a new system being implemented at work, new styling clients and teaching barre classes, I definitely have my plate full but I'm not complaining, I'm grateful. It's better to be busy than bored right?? I can sleep when I'm dead! Last weekend I finally had some time to get some outfit photos taken wearing my new Anne B. heels from Le Chateau. I thought they went great with my printed fancy pants and white blazer. I'll definitely be getting a lot of wear out of them this summer ; ).
I hope you're all having a great week!

Spring Jacket-ing With French Connection
I am thoroughly enjoying wearing my gorgeous new Albany biker jacket from French Connection as the weather warms up. It's the perfect piece to transition from there's-still-a-bit-of-snow-on-the-ground-gosh-darnit season to allelujah-i-think-we-hit-spring-and-if-we-haven't-i-will-seriously-consider-moving-to-Mexico season don't you think?

Spring Prints with French Connection
tank - French Connection (in store), jacket - French Connection (in store),
trousers - French Connection, heels - c/o Zara, clutch - Top Shop Canada,
ring - Material Girl from The Bay, bracelet - H & M
Printed pants are a must for Spring and I am totally and utterly in love with these Argon Rose Peg Leg Trousers from French Connection which are so light and comfortable! I chose to wear them with a must-have basic black polyester tank and a cute semi-sheer bolero with applique detail to finish off the outfit. French Connection has a ton of prints to choose from from their Spring 2014 line, below are some of my other favorites but I have to say it was hard to choose just a few ; )

Oh Hello, Snow
The snow came and it's here to stay until approximately March or April, 2014. And that's a fact! Our winters are brutal, you've probably heard me complain a lot about them in previous posts (sorry about that) but right now it's not too cold which is nice. It's the calm before the storm! ; ) So I've been dressing appropriately for the weather, wearing lots of cozy sweaters and heavier jackets, including this one I bought from Asos last year which is one of my favorites in my closet.
I hope you're having a great week so far! And thank you to all of you who made it out to the French Connection event, I hope you had fun! I did : ).

French Connection
blouse + faux leather skirt - c/o French Connection, purse - H
& M,
booties - Madden Girl by Steve Madden, tights - HUE from
The Bay, jewelry - can't remember
When I have to scrape frost off my car windows in the morning before driving it (which I've had to do the past couple of days) that means two things: #1 It's reeeeally cold and #2 It's tights season. Tights season lasts about 6-7 months out of the year where I live so it's nice to have a few skirts and dresses on rotation to pair them with. I have a feeling I'll be getting a ton of wear out of this fun, faux leather skirt this winter as well as the gorgeous long-sleeved printed blouse, both from French Connection. Fun fact: Sometimes it gets so cold up here that I will also wear tights under my pants. I'm sure some of you Canadians can relate.
And hey, the French Connection store in West Edmonton Mall is relocating and to celebrate the new space, they are throwing a party! There will be door prizes and discounts all day long and beats by Girls Club. As well, I will be hosting two fashion shows on trends! I hope you can make it! See below or click here for more details.
