Plan B

Sorry, I had to. You cannot wear a Rolling Stones tee and keep your tongue in your mouth.

t-shirt, jacket, jeggings, jewelry - H & M  shoes - Suzy Shier  hat - Zara  purse - gift

On Friday I told you that we had to cancel our trip to Banff this past weekend because of the horrible driving conditions due to the (unwelcome, very unwelcome) dump of snow we got last week. I was bummed but I didn't let it ruin my weekend. It was full of quality time with friends, family, Yoga and amazing food. This is what I wore Saturday to go shopping with my best friend Kristin for some retail therapy. D. calls these pants my "grade 5 pants" because they don't have a zipper or pockets. I explained to him they're not jeans they're "jeggings" and they are in STYLE but he still didn't get it. Men! Anyways, I wore one of my favorite jackets from H & M and decided to pair it with my Rolling Stones tee that I also got from H & M. (You know how I love me some H & M!) Saturday night was spent with family for an early Easter dinner. I ate a lot of this:

 And played with this:

My nephew, Kayden. Not sure why it's so freakin' funny but if you throw a box on a toddler's head and watch them run around wild and almost run into things it's pure entertainment. If I had gone to Banff I wouldn't have been able to witness this hilarity. So maybe everything worked out for a reason?

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

OK, what is that fruit pie?? I need the recipe ... it looks soooo tasty!

Your nephew is ADORABLE! My nephew was almost named Cayden, but switched to Reese at the last minute.

I have not been to Phoenix, but the resort were staying at for the wedding looks AMAZING in pictures. Gorgeous! I will def give you the inside scoop when I get back although I don't know how much I'll see since we're pretty jam packed with wedding festivities the whole time I'm there.

I know, packing and UNpacking are the absolute worst.

Lastly, you're outfit is very cute. Guys don't know about fashion, just ignore him. I love your hair and how you pull off hats. I could never look as cute as you!!

Adorable hip outfit, love the jacket too. Our weekend plans got ruined by the latest snow storm as well, I spent most of it moping instead of embracing the moment :( Your nephew is adorable, how can you not smile looking at that face!

Sorry you missed your trip to banff but the weather really did blow all weekend. I mean "blow" literally and figuratively! LOL

I don't see snow on the ground in your OOTD pics, does that mean your snow is finally gone. *sigh* there is so much snow on my front yard it's like a glacier!

Ahhh I like you. A picture is just so boring if you don't stick your tongue out, amirite?

Your weekend sounds great, despite everything. I understand about the snow. Oh yes, we got some here too. I know a lot of people who had to cancel their plans...looking on the bright side, it must have happened for a reason.

P.S. What exactly is that delightful food item pictured? I'd eat it all even though I don't know what it is.

Ashley: My aunt actually made it and when I asked her what it was called she said she didn't know, she just threw it together. The bottom is what's called a phyllo pastry. It had pudding in it, then whip cream and then the fruit on top and it was DELICIOUS!

I love your sense of style - t-shirt is great and pose of tongue sticking out totally made my day!I am so happy snow is melting in Edmonton. I wore my mini- skirt yesterday without fear of sliping on the snow.

The nephew is adorable - glad you made the best of your weekend!xo
