Right now where I live we're experiencing what I like to call "Sprinter." That's winter weather in the springtime. A more appropriate word to describe this weather would be BULLSHIT but I won't go there. Okay yes I will. I hate talking about the weather all the time but how can I not when it's April 15th and we have 14 cm of snow on the ground? Even though this is Canada it's still abnormal and maddening. Especially since we were teased with spring-like weather a week ago only to have it taken away by angry weather gods playing a sick joke on us. Assholes.
This is our backyard. I took this picture yesterday when I got home from work.

It's scary to think about how rapidly climates are changing due to global warming and all that other scientific shizz I admit I don't know enough about to discuss. With all these earthquakes and tsunami's the weather really terrifies me. What about you?
All week D. and I were looking forward to spending a lovely weekend in Banff with friends:
This is Banff. But picture it covered in snow. Lots of it.
But we had to cancel due to the horrendous driving conditions : (. On a brighter note, since I'm not venturing out to the mountains this weekend I've decided to

Aw, honey that is SO frustrating, I feel your pain... it happened to us a few weeks ago, but I think (though I don't want to jinx myself) that we are DONE with snow! Enjoy your retail therapy... can't wait to see what you pick up! Happy weekend!
wow, i've never had to deal with such sporadic weather. i'd go mad. i'm hoping san diego weather is as consistent as people say. and i am beyond terrified of natural disasters, so this whole earthquake thing is not something i'm looking forward to...

Yep, this weather is BULLSHIT!
That stinks! You see, this is what I don't miss about Canada. You should absolutely spend the weekend shopping till you drop to make up for Sprinter.

Wow, I can't even imagine living in Canada. We had an abnormally cold winter in Texas, which is all I blogged about when it as happening because I got so sick of the snow. But we are not equipped to handle snow. So 6 inches was like a blizzard to us. I'm sure if you were in the 100s+ though, yall would freak out and we're totally used to our entire Summers being like that. Sorry your trip had to be cancelled, but maybe you can go soon!!

This weather is sooo frustrating! I just want it to be spring already. That really sucks that you had to cancel your plans. Retail therapy will indeed make you feel better

Great pictures-All of them! I love the great shot of Banff! Sorry to hear about the snow canceling your trip. Mother nature needs to whisk winter away and replace it with spring!!!! We don't have snow, but it is raining so much I might grow webbed feet!
Happy Shopping!!!

Sisis: I just printed my coupon! I'll be taking full advantage of the 15% discount!
love the 2nd photo snow...
Girl I am right there with you! Chicago might as well be Canada but at least thankfully our snow is gone. I'm sending some warm weather wishes your way! Natural disasters terrify me too, that and fire. Oh, the destruction - sad and terrible and frightening. Banff looks beautiful, even imagined covered snow. Enjoy your weekend, weather be damned!
Snow in April is a tough pill to swallow! Sephora always makes me feel better. I call it my happy place. Try on some lip gloss and spritz on some fragrance for me! xo
yeah I agree with you this weather is BULLSHIT. and I am not even exxagerting. I am in Edmonton and it just sucks. Anywho, I sympthaize with you for cancelling plans to Banff ,I had to cancel my trip to jasper too.

Living in Canada is starting to make me feel a little...I don't even know the word. It's more like an exasperated sound; frustrating doesn't even begin to describe it!
Anyway, you have a lovely blog and it's only April. There's still summer!
*sigh* I know how you feel...I was going to head down to Calgary next week and then BAM! Snow!
Sephora's having their VIB sale until 21st so I hope you got yourself something fun :)

I learned a new word. Sprinter. I hate it. It's just so miserable. And it makes me whiny and that's not good for anyone around me!
We are still getting snow and it sucks! I'm snowing right now... boo! I can't wait for actual spring weather!!
XOXO
