The Week's Best Celebrity Photobombs

Jennifer Lawrence creeps up on Taylor Swift and tells her she was going to push her down the stairs at the Golden Globe awards last Sunday.

And Ryan Phillipe got photobombed by a not-so-shy lady while walking down a street in Hollywood yesterday.

But nothing will ever beat my favorite photobombs of all time:

Lately...

Clockwise starting from top left: 1. Nicole Campre's A/W 2013 show at Western Canada Fashion Week. 2. More of her gorgeous designs. 3. I was featured in this month's Where Magazine along with my friends Janis and Vickie. 4. I had a goal of doing Yoga 3-4 times a week (and I was meeting it!) but last week my hip came out of place and now it's off to physio I go! : (
1. I bought a Breville juicer! I love the juice I make but it's a pain in the ass to clean! But it's so worth it. 2. I received skincare from GM Collin and Yonka, I'll be doing reviews of both lines so stay tuned! 3. Funny story about this shovel: My 4 year old nephew had scribbled on his parents' garage with permanent marker so to hide it, he put a snow shovel over the graffiti. Smart kid! 4. Breakfast for dinner!

1. Breakfast Television (click here to read more about it and see the clip.) 2. Wearing my Zara necklace for Western Canada Fashion Week. 3. With my friends Janis and Jessica at Malorie Urbanovitch's A/W 2013 fashion show last week. Click here to see my coverage. 4. Malorie's beautiful designs.

My silly cat, Prints Whiskerson Sultenfuss The First. Such a weird, feisty, at times hostile and vicious yet lovable, silly and cuddly furry creature! Basically, she's schizophrenic. I'm 100% serious.

Have a great long weekend and Happy Easter!

Crying Babies

Don't worry, these children were not harmed in any way. I found these adorable pictures taken by the thought-provoking photographer (and Mother) Jill Greenberg on My Modern Metropolis last week and had to share them with you. My initial reaction was, "Oh my heart! These babies look so sad!" and I wanted to wrap my arms around each and every one of them and buy them huge ice cream cones but then I chuckled to myself because these kidlets were probably crying over spilled milk. Literally. Children are so dramatic at this age (my nephew whimpers  and cries if he doesn't leave Walmart without a new toy to take home with him, as if he'll die without it) but their feelings and emotions are so pure which is beautiful, don't you think? Jill Greenberg said of these series of photos taken in 2006, "Pictures of children crying capture raw emotion: sputtering rage and profound loss. In many ways we become desensitized to disturbing images. But the honesty of a child's feelings is undeniable and it draws you in to the photograph. Perhaps because kids experience the kind of powerful emotions that we, as adults, have suppressed in ourselves." What do you think of these pictures? To see more of the series, click here.

I hope you all had a good weekend and for those of you dealing with Hurricane Irene and/or its aftermath, I hope you're safe, stay safe!

Spotlight: Baby Outfit Post

"Courtside at the Club Collection"
White Woven Dress Shirt, Plaid Seersucker Tie, Plaid Seersucker Newsboy Cap - all Janie and Jack

Here's one of the most fashionable babies I know, Mr. Taysen James, my best friend's little guy and my "nephew."  This handsome heartbreaker loves dressing up when he goes out cruising for chicks but prefers to wear his comfy-casual Puma Ferarri track suit when he's just chillin' at home playing with his puppies Bentley and Lexus or trying to climb stairs:

Taysen counts Baby Burberry, Juicy Couture, Marc Ecko, Puma and Paul Frank among his favorite labels and states all three Jolie-Pitt boys and his Daddy as his biggest style influences.   ; )

Walking On Lipstick?

via luxist

Italian Designer Alberto Guardiani has designed a pump that includes two things I absolutely love: shoes and lipstick. I could totally see Lady Gaga wearing these but I would have major trouble walking in them. And forking out $400.00 to buy them! What do you think? Would you wear them?

My Life:
So earlier this week I posted about all the snow and freezing cold weather we've been having. Well on Wednesday, on my lunch break, I was driving and got a flat tire. I had been driving on it for about three minutes before I realized it. The bad news is that it was about -32 C with the wind chill and I GOT A FLAT TIRE. It was totally destroyed, I was burning rubber and thought for sure I damaged the rim. The good news is that it happened one block away from where I get my tires from so I drove there (let me tell you it was a very bumpy ride) and the guys put on a new tire for me in thirty minutes! And my rim was fine. I felt extremely lucky.

I wanted to share this photo with you. We have a fireplace (which we've been using every night this week) and Kitty loves to lay in front of it in her basket and sleep. I thought it was so cute I just had to post it. Do I post too many pics of my cat? Am I turning into a crazy cat lady? I hope not! Let me know in the comments ; )

Have a great weekend and if you're experiencing ridiculous temperatures like I am STAY WARM!

White Out

 Hat - Steve Madden (from Winners)   coat - Garage Clothing   top - H & M   necklace - F21

A cold and nasty winter storm hit our city last Friday (the worst in ten years!) and since then more than 1.5 feet of snow has fallen, making it very difficult to drive on the icy, slippery and unplowed side roads. Trying to drive on roads like these is kind of like trying to stick a bean all the way up your nose and swallow it - it's possible but it might get stuck. So I decided not to drive anywhere this weekend to be safe. Instead I took a walk around my neighborhood wearing my practical - yet fashionable- hat to take a few pictures of the craziness to show you what a Canadian winter can be like:

Look closely. Yes, there's a CAR under that blanket of snow! Not mine, thank goodness.

More snow is yet to come. This is just the beginning. I'm off to sip some hot chocolate and warm up my toes!
