Baby's Gender Reveal!

Yesterday I had my second ultrasound for the baby and my hubby and I had decided early on that we would find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I'm a planner and not a huge fan of surprises so I definitely wanted to know and my husband didn't really care either way.

Let me just say that from the very beginning, I thought I had a baby girl in my tummy. I was 99.9 % sure, I just had this feeling, you know?? My husband, on the other hand, had no inkling whatsoever. I, however, would refer to the baby as "she" and had about 10 girls names picked out on my list to choose from. I like to think I have very good intuition and a bit of psychic ability (my friends and family can attest to this!) and so I just knew it would be a girl. I was looking forward to our ultrasound confirming it yesterday and had even started composing this very blog post with an "It's a Girl!" photo earlier in the week. Well, I was wrong......we're having a BOY!! Naturally, I was so shocked when we found out! Honestly, I sat there in the room, stunned, watching Baby on the monitor and asking the tech more than once, "Are you sure though? But, like, are you sure?" Yup, she was sure! It was right there on the screen! I was surprised my gut feeling lead me astray! That being said, of course we are SO happy it's a boy! We would have been happy either way, we didn't prefer one sex over the other, we just wanted the baby to be healthy.

It was funny telling family and friends because all of them thought we were having a girl as well! (Or maybe I just convinced them we were.) When I told them Baby was definitely not a girl, some of them even sounded a bit confused lol. But they are just as ecstatic with the news that my two nephews will have a little buddy to play and get in trouble with as we were. And my nephews are quite happy, too! But now I need your help. We don't have many boys names to choose from (since it was supposed to be a girl, obviously), do any of you have any suggestions? Please let me know in the comment section below! Thanks so much. I was so excited to share this news with you : ).

Now, I can't wait to dress this little guy!

AWWW YAYYY! Congratulations!!!!! If I was a boy my name might have been James Chase, haha...so I've always liked that combo (although my mom ended up going with a different name when she had my brother because she didn't want people calling him Jimmy)

I had the exact same experience but the other way around! I always thought if I had kids I would have a boy so when I got preggo I started referring to the baby as he and we picked a boy name super fast! Surprise surprise we had a girl! Good thing you decided to find out! Congrats!

Oh congrats Marie! Your little guy is going to be one well-dressed little dude! ;) I'm not sure what to suggest for baby names - that seems like a huge decision!

I was the same way when I was pregnant with my second son. I was convinced it was a girl. :) Anyhow, congratulations on your little boy.

That's such exciting news! I've always been a fan of classic English boys names, like Henry and Edward and John.
