Repeat Drug Store Buys

As much as I appreciate higher-end beauty products - hello MAC and Sephora - I love a good drug store buy. Here are all the items I purchase over and over again, without the heavy price tag ; )
L'Oreal Elnett Satin Strong Hold Hairspray - A favorite amongst celebrity hair stylists, this product leaves my hair shiny and the hold lasts all day. I wear my hair in a bun when I teach barre classes and it helps keep my baby hairs and fly-aways at bay ; ) And it smells like real hairspray, if that make sense?

Jergens Original Beauty Lotion -  My favorite is the cherry almond scent (it's so good you'll want to eat it!) and you can get a big bottle for under $12.00 that will last you awhile. It's a must for the dry, cold winter months.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm - Super creamy and moisturizing! And the perfect nude color.

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Primer - I wear this under my foundation. It's a high definition primer so if you put this on before you do your makeup your skin will look great in photos. It's a little hard to blend but but it makes your makeup stay on longer.

L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black - A staple in my makeup bag. Leaves my lashes looking long and full.

EOS Lip Balm- I love the shape of this lip balm (which contains all natural ingredients), the sphere makes it easy to apply. Very moisturizing and smells amazing! The pink one is a fruity flavor.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation  - The best drug store foundation, in my opinion. Great coverage, with a bit of SPF in it. See my review here.

NYX Super SKINNY Marker in Carbon Black - I've tried a lot of liquid liners and this one tops my list. I'm not very good at applying them but this one is easy to put on and lasts all day.

My favourite drugstore products are:

L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in 590 - Blushing Berry. The perfect berry colour for my pale skin, and I seriously love the formulation. I like it as much as my MAC lippies.

L'Oreal True Match foundation in N2. If they ever discontinue this product, I will be lost. Love the SPF 15, love the easy application, smooth moderate coverage, and I have never found a better colour match, including looking at Merle Norman, Sephora and MAC for products.

Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder. I was surprised at home much I love this product, given how any other Rimmel product I've tried just didn't work for me... I had all but given up on them when the kind cosmetic counter lady recommended it to me. It's great at a great price!

(I'm going to be counting Target as a drugstore here, so bare [bear?] with me) e.l.f. lip exfoliator. Love that it tastes like coconut, comes in a lipstick shape, leaves my lips SUPER soft, and costs $4 CDN.

Also, we use the same mascara - love that stuff!! If, in some alternate universe, I was offered to be the cover girl for any drugstore brand, I think I'd choose L'oreal. Their products just seem to agree with my skin and my colouring.
