Sundown

coat and blouse - Old Navy, jeggings - F21, boots - Spring, accessories - H & M

I look pretty calm in these pictures but in my head I was thinking, "I'm freezing my ass off! Let's get this over with!" You see the snow on the ground? Yeah, winter's here. And it won't be gone for another 6 months or so. I also hear that it's going to be one of our coldest winter's yet. That's the beauty of living in Oh Canada! But instead of focusing on what I hate about this season (the ridiculously cold temperatures, having to scrape frost and/or snow off my car every morning, going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark, THE RIDICULOUSLY COLD TEMPERATURES) I'm going to focus on what I love about winter which is.....I'm drawing a blank here. I kid, I love the Christmas season. And skating. And coats to keep me warm, like the one above except I'm going to need a full-length parka soon. And that's about it! I think I'll book a trip to Mexico asap!

How do you get through the winter? What are your coping skills? ; ) And do you love it or hate it?

I've been thinking the same thing when it comes to taking photos outside lately! Looksl like you guys have more snow than us though! I'm also loving this coat of yours and the leopard scarf of course!

I started snowboarding a few years back which gives me something to look forward to in the winter now and its great!

Ugh, I don't mind the snow so much as I dislike our short days in E-town. Indoor photos it is for me!

I can think of a few good things about winter - mostly food related! Like hot chocolate with Baileys and Christmas dinner. Yum.

Love that coat - it looks great on you! And is it weird that seeing all the snow on the ground in the background of all the Edmonton fashion blogs I read is making me a little homesick? I was in Edmonton this time last year and I'm kind of missing it...

Great look! I like the purple bag.

I live in northern California - we don't get snow around here except occasionally in the hills near our home. Winter is pretty tame compared to yours. But it does get chilly.

I prefer fall and winter to summer. I like the clothing better and all the cozy things you get to do when it's cold out - fires in the fireplace, warm comfort foods, hot tea. I think if I lived where you do, I would dread winter. It sounds very long and very cold. Brrr!

Love the outfit you look very pretty! Winter is bitter sweet....But due to the fact that it hosts Christmas I am good with it overall!

The lighting is so gorgeous here! I love the leopard print blouse with your coat, you look lovely!!
I love winter, it's so beautiful and getting to layer is always fun. As much as I hate the cold (like really hate it) the snow looks so pretty and whimsical

You look lovely! And I totally hear you, I'm dreading outfit pics outside already... But winter is totally magical here, and I can't wait to frolic in the snow with hot chocolate, decorate for Christmas and layer cozy knits like it's my job! xx

I love your outfit (especially those amazing boots....love!).

I've just moving to Canada (Toronto) from England- great timing huh, right for winter!? But it's been ok here at the moment, I can't believe you have snow already. I really need to buy some layers haha!

I love the colour of your coat, and it looks fabulous on you!
I'm not too thrilled about winter, it's such a drag. Earlier today I got a hot apple cider on my way to class, which made me feel a bit better about the cold, at least for a while. So maybe an upside to dropping temperatures is the seasonal drinks of fall and winter?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the outfit! :D
And yea, I could do without the darkness and cold, but I LOVE hot chocolate, Christmas music (after US Thanksgiving of course), the first snow before it gets gross and annoying, and of course Christmas ;)

Honestly, I usually love the winter, but I can't seem to be happy it is here this year. I mean I agree - I hate waking up and going to work in the dark and going home in the dark. It can be 5:30 and it feels like 8:30 at night. I also hate the scraping snow off. I hear we are supposed to get a snow storm tonight - oh Edmonton.

first off, you look very pretty and stylish (as always!). and i also really like your coat! :)

and oooh snow, but i guess it only looks lovely in photos and when you don't have to deal with it. i'd love to have a snowy christmas, but without everything you just described. oh man, sorry to be such a bummer, i should be lifting your spirits! hmmm, fireplace, comfy blankets, scarves, and hot chocolate with marshmallows? :)

SNOW?! Really? Already? I don't know whether I should pity you or be jealous. I love snow, but only when I see it from inside of my warm and cosy home. :) X
