Fashion Emergency

coat - Old Navy   pants - H&M   shoes - Spring   hat - Joe Fresh  bag - Winners

Yesterday, my cousin Lisa from San Fransisco who had just flown in Saturday morning called me at 7:30 a.m. and told me United Airlines lost her luggage and she had nothing to wear for her niece's Confirmation that day. I considered this to be a "MFE". That's Major Fashion Emergency. She asked if I could accompany to the mall and help her find a suitable outfit. The catch: we only had about an hour and she could only spend $200.00 which United Airlines agreed to compensate her with. (It was the least they could do.) This is what I wore for Mission: Find Lisa Some Clothes. I purchased the coat from Old Navy at half price which ended up being $60.00. The hat, boots and purse you've seen before, you're probably sick of seeing them over and over again, I'm sorry, I promise to switch things up a bit! Anyways, back to our crisis: Lisa and I shopped like our lives depended on it and found some nice-fitting trousers, a beautiful pink sweater and booties from Aldo for $210.00 (only ten bucks over our budget which isn't bad) in record time. Crisis averted. Luggage was found and will be here today! Hopefully. Fingers crossed. Or we may have another "situation" on our hands.

I love your bag! It looks so rich and classy.

Sorry to hear about the crisis! Looks like you did pretty well, and I guess, looking on the bright side, your friend has a great new outfit courtesy of United Airlines!

My luggage just got lost on the way back from Edmonton so I sympathize! Sounds like you did a great job finding something suitable though.

Marie I almost peed my pants laughing when I saw "fashion emergency" b/c it reminds me of the Bravo commercials where Iman goes off about a fashion mergency call 911. The Chef and I bust up laughing every time!!

Girl it looks COLD! I hope your cousin's not frozen to the confirmation venue!!

xo,

As for the fashion emergency, I too have been there! Nothing worse than losing your bags when traveling. Hopefully she'll get her bags ASAP!

Dont you just hate shopping when you know you have limited time and actually NEED to get something? It's only when I'm just browsing that I seem to spot loads of stuff I like for some reason :)

The pics look lovely, honestly you look like a fashion model in them! The coat is totally superb and I reckon you'll get LOADS of wear over it over the coming months ♥

Snow already! Oh it looks so cold. You don't, though, so it must be the coat - looks great! I still like your boots, I'm impressed that you're wearing those heels in the snow :-) I don't understand how luggage can go missing. If stolen, ok (sort of understand), but if not, how can they just... misplace it?!

No lady, I'm not bored of your Joe Fresh hat nor your Spring boots. They're gorgeous and perfect for Winter, so keep on wearing 'em!:)

Your outfit is absolutely gorgeous. And honestly, of all the crises to have, that's one I don't think I'd mind very much! As long as I ended up getting my luggage back, of course. Even if it was a day late.
