That '70's Flow

(It was windy.)

After a little break I am back to blogging and it feels good! Thank you for all your messages on my blog and through social media regarding my last post, they really touched my heart during an extremely difficult time. THANK YOU. Unfortunately I lost another family member a week ago, my Grandma Lucy who was 92!! She had an amazing, long life though and she joined my Grandpa in heaven on what would have been their 75th wedding anniversary. How romantic is that?? This post is dedicated to her. She was a very classy, always well-put-together lady and she taught me all about style. She knew exactly which colors looked best on her, she never left her house without wearing jewelry and always had her hair curled and done up. My Grandma wore MAC lipstick in different shades of pink and was just as beautiful inside as she was on the outside. She was just the sweetest! Everyone loved Lucy and she will be dearly missed. But knowing she's no longer in pain and has been reunited with my Grandpa gives me great comfort.

I'm wearing: Fiona lace top - c/o Gentle Fawn, cardigan - very old but other options here
flared jeans - MiH (old but similar here), shoes - Target a long time ago, bag - c/o Massimo Dutti
gold cuff - Banana Republic (similar here), necklace - vintage,
ring - Material Girl from The Bay, sunglasses - FARMFRESH c/o SPAREPARTS

Stylist's Tip: Scared to try the flared jean trend this spring? Don't be. Flared pants are a great alternative to skinny jeans, are extremely slimming and will elongate your legs, even more so if you wear heels with them, which I recommend you do ; ). You don't have to channel the '70's like I did in this post, either. Pair your flares with a tucked-in tee or a light-weight blouse and you're good to go!

I love that the 70s keep coming back each Spring/Summer for the past few years! Better start wearing my flares before it gets too hot!
My thoughts are with your family, but that is an incredibly romantic way to think about it! :D Couldn't be apart any longer.

I can't even imagine everything you've been going through lately but I'm really happy to see you here again looking happy and healthy. And I love that you've done this as an ode to your grandmother. It's such a lovely gesture - I know she meant a lot to you.

This has to be one of my favourite posts Marie. You look lovely. Your tribute to your grandma brought tears to my eyes. She was such a special lady and I know she is looking down on you smiling with such pride.....
