Makeup Haul

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
These are the makeup products I purchased over the past two weeks, well most of it was bought last night during a trip after work to the mall which is dangerously close to my house I might add. I would never buy this much makeup normally but I only paid about $23.00 for all of this because I used my Sephora gift cards that I got for my birthday last month (who loves gift cards? I do!) and the cosmetics I didn't get from Sephora were drugstore brands and weren't expensive. I haven't tried any of these yet (except the Revlon palette) but I hope to do some reviews for you all in the near future. Here's what I picked up:

Nars Blush in 'Orgasm'
I've heard so many great things about this blush but I've never tried it before.
Actually I'm a Nars Virgin! Not for long though ; ) Dont' worry, I'll use protection:

L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base
It's basically a primer that's supposed to smooth lines, hide pores and banish imperfections. I got it for $15.00 at the drugstore which isn't too bad. I usually use MAC primer but I wanted to try something a bit less expensive. Plus the glamorous L'Oreal commercial with Linda Evangelista suckered me into buying it!

Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadow in #730 Skinlights
I'm not impressed so far. First, because every time I've tried to open the palette I chip a nail, it's so hard to get into! And then I swear. More than once. Secondly, the colors are beautiful but the shadows tend to cake on the lid and the colors don't blend into one another very easily. I'm going to try it with Urban Decay's primer (below) to see if that makes a difference...

Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer in 01, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Givenchy PLAY for her
I usually use Benefit's Erase Paste for concealer -which I LOVE- but I decided to try Boi-ing, also by Benefit, just to see which one is better suited for my skin and my dark under-eye cirlces I've been cursed with. I also wanted to try UD's Primer Potion because I've heard umpteen times how amazing it is from other beauty bloggers. Oh, and I was given a sample of Givenchy PLAY For Her while I was at Sephora and it's a lovely perfume. Sorry, that's the only word I can use to describe it: Lovely. It's a bit too floral and in-your-face for me though. Still, I'll use it up. (Hey, it was free!)

Have any of you tried any of these products? What should I expect?

I hope you all have a great weekend! Tonight I'm going to see:

I haven't been this excited to see a movie since Sex and the City 2! Here's hoping Burlesque doesn't disappoint like SATC did.

great haul! i use boi-ing and its by far my favourite concealer. I also use the studio secrets thing..i think its called smoothing resurfacing primer in the uk though. It definitely fills in pores and makes foundation last longer, what i will say though is that I can really feel in on my skin so id suggest a little goes a long way! :)

Great chooses! And I want to see Burlesque, when will it be in cinemas? :D

I want to see Burlesque too! Some people said it's similar to Chicago, but I haven't seen Chicago! And some people also said that it's like Showgirls, which I've seen :p Regardless, I need to watch it with my girlfriends :)

Have you ever tried the Amazing concealer? I heard raves about it and I really want to try it. I'm also cursed with DARK dark circles :(

Great haul, chica.
Let us know how the boing compares to erase paste, I love erase paste too and would like to know =)
Also, you should do a review on Burlesque, I'm still on the fence about it.
Have a great weekend! =)

Great haul! I picked up NARS orgasm about 5 months back. It's not too bad but I don't known that it deserves to be the best selling blush in the world? With my skin-tone the colour pay-off just wasn't there...but since you're a bit more fair it could be perfect. The UD primer potion is pretty great...it does the job. The L'oreal studio secrets is good too, it's no MAC primer...but it does manage to minimize the pores on my nose/inner cheeks. (sorry for putting in all my two cents here...lol)
Do a review on the boi-ing...I've had my eye on it for years but have be afraid that it might be too heavy? Let us know what u think! YAY to giftcards and pre-Christmas shopping!!!!!

How was Burlesque?! I REALLY want to see it!!! Also, I'm totally jealous of all your new goodies. I use Boing and I'm absolutely obsessed!! It really works wonders, as does everything Benefit makes. And I'm actually a NARS virgin too...sad but true.

Nice haul! I have one of the Revlon quads, but they blend fine for me. I guess it might vary from palette to palette.

Love the UDPP. I couldn't really get into the boiing concealer. I found it was too dark for me. Curious to see what you think about it.

i also have the revlon illuminance creme shadow in skinlights. you really need a primer under that product cos it does crease heavily especially when one's eyelids are oily. but the colors are great!

I have some Nars blush (am wearing it today, actually) and I love it! It's one of the few blushes that doesn't break me out.

I also love Nars lipglosses, although some of them smell/taste funny. They look beautiful, though!

Oh, and I LOVE my Urban Decay primer!

Awesome haul...I wish I had some Sephora gift cards to use up. ;) Thanks for posting everything!

Orgasm blush and the Revlon skinlights cream shadows are two of my every day products! I've also tried the primer, but wasn't really in love with it. Now I want to pull it back out and retry :)

That blush is the holy grail! It's the only thing I'll use. great picks lady ;)

I love UDPP! Just make sure that when you think you've run out of product, you remove that little clear plastic overflow stopper (it's above the screw threads). There's tons of product left in the bottle, and doing that will help you get some of it (and then when you're think you're low after doing that, you either mutilate the bottle and scoop out what's left into a jar, or heat it a bit and whack the product out of there). Great product, bad packaging.

I tried those Revlon cream eyeshadows when I was younger. They were awful...creased horribly.

I agree about SATC, I was totally disappointed. Love your makeup haul, I'm obsessed with anything urban decay!

I have the Nars blush and I love it! I also just bought a combo pack from Sephora, has the nars orgasm blush, Laguna bronzer, and super orgasm lipgloss! And it wasn't too expensive! It will look great your skin tone!
