One of my favorite parts of awards season is the red carpet fashion (whether it be good or bad) and last night at the Oscars I was not disappointed. There were some very well-dressed celebs and there were some doozies, as you'll see ; ). I'm starting off with my absolute faves from last night's ceremony: Rachel McAdams was a dream in an evergreen August Getty Atelier gown, Cate Blanchett looked stunning in a floral Armani Prive dress and Charlize Theron looked sleek in a simple (yet beautiful) bright red Dior number.

The Oscars: Fashion, Cleavage and Pizza
I'm not going to talk about who was "Best" and "Worst" Dressed at the Oscars because that's kind of mean but I will highlight some of my favorite dresses and my not-so-favorite. That's better, right? ; ) I loooooved Cate Blanchett's gorgeous Armani Prive nude gown with Swarovski crystals, she looked so elegant in it. Her whole look - dress, hair and makeup - was definitely my favorite. Sandra Bullock's sleek and stunning Alexander McQueen dress was perfection and Kate Hudson showed off her figure in a beautiful, unique, caped, silk Versace dress.
You may be surprised to hear this but I wasn't a huge fan of Charlize Theron's Dior gown, the straps kind of reminded me of flames but she still looked gorgeous and wore the heck out of it. I didn't care much for Lady Gaga's strapless, flashy, metallic, mermaid Versace dress either, or her scarf/shawl which she should have left at home. And I didn't know where to look on Anna Kendrick's J Mendel's dress which was had too much going on for me, it was too busy.
I didn't forget about the the men! I thought Frank Underwood Kevin Spacey looked so handsome and dapper in a Burbery navy and black suit but I didn't like Pharrel's choice of bermuda shorts for the Oscars. At least he didn't wear his Canadian Mountie hat on on the red carpet. He saved that for his performance on stage.
It seemed like plunging necklines ruled the Oscar after-parties. Kristen Bell (in Zuhair Murad), Britney Spears (in Michael Costello) and Heidi Klum (in Versace) showed off their greatest, um, assets.
So did Miranda Kerr, (in a silver, shimmering number) Reese Witherspoon (in BOSS) and Kim Kardashian (in Celia Kritharioti). All I could think of while flipping through these photos was 'HOLY BOOBS!'. I didn't expect so many celebs to show off their tata's. I expected it from Kim Kardashian, of course, since she loves hers more than she loves money but I think when lots of cleavage is involved that's all people look at, instead of looking at the dress. Boobs are a distraction! I bet the men didn't mind though ; ).
I want to end this post with my favorite "behind-the-scenes" photo: Brad Pitt eating pizza. That is all.
Did you watch the Oscars? What did you think of the fashion?

Oscar Fashion: The Good, The Bad and The Oh Hell No!
Did you watch the Oscars last night? I thought the show was a little boring (sorry Seth MacFarlane but you're no Billy Crystal...or Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who I PRAY will be hosting the Oscars next year!) but luckily the fashion was a little more interesting. I loved Amy Adams' gorgeous, pale silver Oscar de la Renta gown. She went balls out with her dress, there was no holding back and she looked like the belle of the ball. I also loved Jessica Chastain's shimmery copper Armani Prive dress. It was very Old Hollywood (as was her hair and makeup) and it suited her perfectly.
Charlize Theron, in a simple yet elegant Dior gown, gave props to her Canadian-born stylist Leslie Fremar who put together this amazing look. Personally I think more celebrities should credit their stylists for making them look as good as they do! Stars don't just pull their gowns out of their asses you know? Behind every well-dressed celebrity is a great stylist! Anyways, Adele looked equally lovely in a beaded black tulle gown by designer Jenny Packham. Her hair and makeup was beautiful as well.

My favorite dress was Jennifer Garner's pretty and purple Gucci gown. The color was stunning on her and just look at the back! I die!
Everyone on Twitter last night seemed to hate Anne Hathaway's Prada gown but I didn't mind it. I didn't love it either though. I think she could have picked a better color, maybe a bolder one like bright red or royal blue that would have given it a more of a "wow" factor. Anne's dress kind of reminded me of Gwyneth Paltrow's at the Academy Awards in 1999: you don't know whether to love it or hate it. Also, all I could stare at were her nipples. Jennifer Lawrence's Dior gown was beautiful but it didn't knock me off my couch, you know? Still, she looked gorgeous in it.
Jane Fonda, 75, totally rocked this floor length, bright yellow Versace gown proving she can still hold her own among all the young Hollywood starlets. Damn she looked GOOD!
Here's the newly-single, brunette Britney Spears looking happy, healthy and stunning in a Michael Cinco Couture black sequined gown at Elton John's Oscar Party. (I love the brown hair, too!)
Ugh, Helena Bonham Carter and Juliette Lewis. Helena wore this Vivienne Westwood dress in October. She always looks like a hot mess so it's not surprising she put as little effort into her look as possible, just like Kristen Stewart and her un-brushed hair and "I Don't Give A F*ck" attitude last night. And Juliette Lewis's dress is a little bit of a disaster, I must say.
The Most Inappropriately Dressed Award goes to Desperate Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville who apparently (and not surprisingly) designed this dress herself. This might be okay if she were attending the American Music Awards and her name was Lil' Kim but not the Oscars. And can I ask why she was attending the Oscars in the first place?? But Brandi, kudos to you for getting the attention you so desperately crave. Ouch, was that mean?!
Ok, I will end this post with The Best Moment of the 2013 Oscars:
Jennifer Lawrence tripping up the stairs while on her way to the stage to accept her Best Actress Oscar for 'Silver Linings Playbook.' This was almost as good as when her pants fell off at the SAG awards! Almost.
