Blog Awards and Stupid Human Tricks

Happy Monday! (As happy as a Monday can be.) I hope you all had a great weekend! I was honored to receive a couple of Blog Awards last week. First I want to thank the lovely aspiring make-up artist behind Funny Face Beauty for awarding me the Sunshine Blog Award.

My second thank you goes to the talented photographer Snappy Q for awarding me the Versatile Blogger Award.

In order to receive this award I'm supposed to list 7 random facts about me so here goes. I  used images 'cause that's how I roll.

 1. I’m a terrible, terrible cook although I can make a mean-ass salad ; ) When I moved in with D. my best friends presented me with a copy of "The Rookie Cookbook" which I will crack open soon. Maybe. No, just kidding, I do want to learn ; ).

2. I can flip a coin from heads to tails on my stomach using my ab muscles and nothing else. This is just one of many useless and stupid human tricks I can do. ***Please let me know what stupid human tricks you can do in the comment section below, I'd love to hear!***

3. I don’t eat anything that has a face. I just can't do it. (photo via Cafe Bellini)

 4. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the movies with my girlfriends and eat a huge bag of extra-buttery popcorn.

5. When I was four, my brother burnt my face by accident with a marshmallow that was on fire. It left blisters but luckily no scars!

 6. I am a Reality Television junkie and watch waaaaaay too many reality shows: So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars, Teen Mom, The Real World, Jersey Shore, The Bachelor series…these are my guilty pleasures ; )

7. I am a recovering D.P.A. That's Diet Pepsi Addict. I decided to quit aspartame a couple of weeks ago because of what I think it's doing to my stomach.. It's been soooo hard! I used to drink 3 cans a day. (I know - BRUTAL.) I can't seem to find a low-calorie, refreshing, non-chemically enhanced drink besides water to replace it with. But my tummy is doing better so that's a plus.

I'm supposed to pass on these awards to some of my favorite blogs but I'm going to be B.A.D. and pass it on to ALL of you because really, how can I choose? So I apologize for being "That Girl" who doesn't play by the rules but I hope you understand why. I don't want to leave anyone out.

I Heart Nicole Richie and the Versatile Blogger Award

First of all I had to post this pic of Nicole Richie at the Carerra Sunglasses event in West Hollywood over the weekend.. I love this chick's style. She always looks so effortlessly chic. THIS is why I want to raid this girl's closet!  I love how she paired a girly eyelet dress with a studded rocker motorcycle jacket for a bit of an edge.

Secondly, I want to thank Cafe Bellini for awarding me the"Versatile Blogger" award!

THANK YOU! I am honored and flattered : ) To accept this award I'm supposed to list some random things about myself and pass on the award to a couple of other fabulous "versatile" bloggers so here goes:

1. I am terrified of large bodies of water, especially flying over them. I am also freaked out by fish. Even minnows. I can't stand them circling around me when I'm in the ocean or a lake. And Sharks and Whales? Don't even go there. "Free Willy" gave me nightmares.

2. I cannot swallow pills. I chew them, even Tylenol. (Yes, it's as bad as it sounds. I get shivers just thinking about it.) I've tried EVERYTHING so if anyone has any other non-typical suggestions on how to accomplish this please let me know! Thanks!

3. I'm a pretty good tap dancer. If I do say so myself ; )

4. I am a huge fan of Britney Spears and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

5. I used to have a huge crush on Billy Bob Thornton. Oh yes I did. In his Angelina days. I'm not afraid to admit that either! Well, kinda. The Jian Gomeshi interview really killed it for me though.

6. My gallbladder was removed 3 years ago after suffering from gallstones (without knowing it!) for about 7 years. I know, OUCH. "Those are not female cramps, Marie."

7. I was in a movie that starred Tom Green. It was about aliens taking over a small town. It went straight to DVD ; )

I'll end with #7 because that's my lucky number : ).

Blogger Award

In ten years I hope to be healthy, strong and happy, living life to its fullest with my family around me. I'd like to be well-traveled and married to D. with one or two kids, working in a creative environment that I love with a bunch more credits added to my IMBD profile. ; ) I also hope to own a nice, large, white house with a HUGE walk-in closet, a jacuzzi, and a huge bed with all-white linens and high-thread count sheets. (My sleeping quarters are very important to me!) And a house on the California coast would be nice... Am I dreaming too big? In ten years I hope I look ten years younger, too and be able to do an un-assisted head stand in Yoga. Well, maybe I don't need ten years for that. We'll see.... : ) No, but really I just want to be happy, healthy and loved. That's what's most important to me. I'm very lucky as it is.
