My 'Issue' With This Issue

So I finally picked up the September issue of Vogue last night. It literally took me five minutes (not kidding) to find the Lady Gaga interview thanks to all those ads. First it took me a couple of minutes to find the damn table of contents because there are soooo many pages in between each page of table of contents and when there are four pages listing those contents, by the time you get through them all you've flipped through 70 pages!! Shouldn't they be at the beginning of the magazine?? It was frustrating because I was in the bathtub at the time (where I do most of my reading), trying to hold up this magazine that weighs 4 lbs. 10 oz. (I measured) so it wouldn't fall into the water, flipping through hundreds of pages, some of which don't have any numbers on them by the way, trying to get to the interview. I didn't need a workout yesterday either, all I had to do was hold my copy of Vogue up in the air and my arms got toned. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the gorgeous ads in each September issue but I don't think a magazine should ever weigh more than a newborn. It's uncomfortable trying to read it! Especially when you're in the bathtub. Anyone agree with me?

P.S. The Gaga interview was fantastic.

hahahhaha omg I laughed so hard at this post. I picked that copy up too.. along with two others since walmart is 3 for 10.. amazing. Anyways, I haven't even gotten to it. It's a bit overwhelming how massive it is. The cashier laughed at me at how big it was. I don't see the need for so many ads!

I feel like this a complaint most of us can relate to! Even the Editor's Letter was split up by 20 pages and by the time I reached the second part of it, I had completely forgotten what I was reading about in the first place. It is getting ridiculous. WHEN WILL THEY STOP? 1000 pages?

I think they charge more for the pages before the contents. But the whole mag was disappointing. The articles looked a lot like the ads. It's getting harder to see the clothes in the dark and fuzzy pics.

Thank you! I completely agree. I haven't bought a Style mag in a while, for many reasons, but this is one of them. {Don't get me wrong, I still miss them.}

I know exactly what your talking about! I had this problem last september with vogue, which is exactly why I didn't pick it up this year. Xo

I haven't read the issue yet but that always bugs me too, ha ha. I like finding things...but if they didn't mix the ads in a lot of people (the crazies) wouldn't look at them

I feel you girl! I usually read magazines in the metro and it hurts to have huge ones in my bag!! Ouch!

Love.

I hear you girl! and how funny that you do most of your reading in the bath tub! Wish I had one :( At least you got to spend quality time pampering yourself while exercising holding such a heavy magazine ;)

This has always been my pet peeve with Vogue, ads are nice and all but I don't want 80% of my magazine experience to be quickly turning the pages to try and find the content I really want - makes me feel like I've wasted money buying it!

Oh I haven't had a chance to crack mine open but I'm glad to hear the interview is so fantastic!

I never read in the tub because I would definitely drop the magazine in the water!

I do most of my reading in the tub too but I didn't take this baby anywhere near the water because I knew it would be dunked. I wasn't really impressed with most of the articles or shoots either.

I've got my UK copy at home, i'm saving it for the weekend when I have the time to go through each page properly. I am going to need a few hours I think!

hahaha this totally cracked me up! I agree though, they always brag that it's "the biggest issue yet" when I don't think I need 1,000 pages of ads. Way too heavy!

I love huge magazines with lots of interesting articles not lots of ads! So I completely understand you!! they weight so much that you cannot even cary them around with you!

I have a love-hate relationship with the September issue of Vogue....I love looking through it and how you get so much magazine for your money but at the same time I start to get tired of reading it,,, it takes me several days to get through it!!

This must be the most trendy fashion style and its looks just like Lady Gaga, so special but also so sexy! I used to have a Designer Black Leather Jackets For Men from cwmalls.com and I also love it!
