Me in the Movies! (My Demo Reel)



So remember in this post I talked about having done some acting here and there over the years and that I had a demo reel I wanted to show you? Well here it is : ) ***WARNING: One of the clips contains content that is quite graphic and disturbing. (Don't say I didn't warn you!)

    You've got some range! That's a lot of characters. I couldn't watch much of the disturbing part of the reel, though. Sorry! You were really convincing though.

    haaaha! "i'm naked...under my clothes!" This is awesome..your very versatile lol...that second scene really is horrific and i don't get scared that easily! and you look adorable as the pregnant girl..loved watching this :)

    I love scary movies and last month I rewatched all the Fear Itself episodes (and it's so cool to see so much of Edmonton featured in them) and when that one episode was on I was like "I know her, I know her!" (well, not personally but I still know her and she's totally awesome).

    Mary! wow, congrats, you are so good and that first clip is so funny. You also look prettier in video! But I must say I had to pretty much skip all of the 2nd video...it was a bit too much for me>

    You're such a great actress, Marie! Are you still persuing it as a career? I hope so!
    Were they all shot in Edmonton, or did you get to travel a bit? Thats so neat how you are an actress.

    Miss Kimmy: Thank you! Yes, I'm still pursuing acting as a hobby (although i wish it was my career!) as I have a full time job but I do have an agent who sends me out on auditions. It's been extremely slow over the past year though, hopefully it will pick up soon! And yes, all of these were shot in Edmonton : )

    Jessica: Thanks! The scary clip was from a television series called "Fear Itself," it was on NBC a couple summers ago. You can get the whole series on DVD now.

    I got my clothing rack from Walmart. It is not pretty (in fact its ugly) but it does the trick for now. I think you can get better looking ones at Ikea but we don't have one where I live.

    you were very convincing as was that guy. who was totally disgusting.

    you're gorgeous! well, except for in the second clip of course, 'cos then you wouldn't be a convincing victim. i wonder though, doesn't acting in scenes like that disturb you for life? :(

    ps. i think he overcooked your tongue. done well, it should be quite tender. ;) (ox tongue, okay?)

    Isea: When I first read the script I didn't think I could audition, it freaked me out but I did it and got the role and it was the best experience of my acting career. It wasn't scary performing the scene, it's just acting and the guy (serial killer) was a sweetheart in real life. We had to trust each other as actors and just do it! My Mother and Gradnmother's have a hard time watching it though ; )

    I couldn't watch much of the torture scene, was it fun to film at least?

    Holy shit! That's some crazy stuff, my dear! But you're AWESOME though, love it! You are funny in the first one and scary in the second one, very good! I hope you get famous! I also hope you are well, I have been soooo busy with my newfound biz venture that I haven't gotten to visit all of my friends like I want to! :(

    Now I can tell people that I know an actress! :D I couldn't go through the entire graphic scene. I covered my eyes with both hands and I peeked once in awhile :p
