MAC Vs. Revlon

Last weekend I finally tried Revlon's Colorstay Liquid Foundation after hearing so many rave reviews about it and I have to say I absolutely love it! I prefer this foundation over what I used to wear, MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. The Revlon foundation lasts so much longer (literally ALL DAY), gives great coverage, matches perfectly to my skin tone, goes on smooth, makes my skin feel soft and is half the price at $14.99. Also, I don't have to use a primer beforehand or press powder on my face afterward like I had to do with the MAC one to make it last more than 4 hours. After doing the math, by switching to Colorstay I am saving $74.00 on coverage for my face! Not bad ; ) What kind of foundation do you use? What is your favorite?

Last night I picked up some Lancome make-up so I could get the special gift with purchase promotion they're having right now at Sears. I went home with some great products! I can't wait to try them out. I'll be showing you those next week. I know it seems fashion has taken a back seat on my blog but it's just because I've been busy moving and settling in to my new place I haven't had the time or energy to put an outfit together and take pictures. Also, D.'s been away for two weeks so I haven't had anyone to actually take pictures of me! I'm picking him up at the airport tonight though so expect an outfit post next week!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  2. I LOVE when stuff like this happens. As much as I love labels, it's nice when I don't have to pay for them.

  4. WOW, for real? It's that good? That's crazy that a drugstore one is beating out MAC! Nice how it's so much cheaper as well.
Glad you found a new product to love, can't wait for your Lancome reviews. Have a good weekend!

  10. After reading all the hype I too tried Revlon Colourstay (in Natural Tan) about 4 months ago. (I was and am a big NARS foundation fan normally) but I have to say I do love the colourstay!
The coverage is great and it LASTS but you do have to work quickly b/c it dries soooo fast.

  16. THANK you for the lovely review!! I will have to try it sometime. I am almost at the end of my Clinique tube, and while I like it a lot, I'm open to trying other brands.

I always have trouble getting it off.

  25. I use MAC wipes to remove it and then cleanse my skin after using my Clarisonic ; )
