These Boots

Wearing: jacket - Banana Republic (old), sweater - Motherhood Maternity (similar here), jeans - Thyme Maternity, boots - Poppy Barley
Natasha Q Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs via Shopbop, scarf - Simons, ring - H & M (old)

A few months ago I finally splurged on a pair of gorgeous, custom-made, leather Poppy Barley boots. I chose the Everyday City Boot because I wanted something black (of course!), sleek and with a low heel so I could wear them all day without my feet hurting. I have to tell you, they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I've purchased boots in the past, spending hundreds of dollars on them but I have really skinny calves and narrow feet with bunions (thanks to dance) so they would always bunch at the ankles, or were too wide in the foot, never feeling or looking right. A waste of money, in my opinion. But because these PB boots were made specifically for me, they literally fit me like a glove and hug my calves in all the right places! And they'll last me a looooong time because of the high-quality craftsmanship. In case you didn't know, Poppy Barley was launched more than three years ago right here in Edmonton and I love supporting local businesses so this purchase was a win-win situation all-around ; ).

Thanks Mom for taking these photos!
