Remember when I shared with you the Best Face Mask Ever? Well, step aside Manuka Honey Mask, I have found ANOTHER face mask that will BLOW YOUR MIND!
I had heard about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing Mask on Makeup Alley and then a friend of mine raved about it on her blog a few months ago so I thought, "I have GOT to try this!" In the states you can get it at Whole Foods for cheap but I don't think you can get it in Canada so I bought it off Amazon and tried it for the first time recently when my BFF was in town. We had a spa night : ).
We mixed the clay with apple cider vinegar (you can also use water) and slathered it on our faces. Both of our mugs then started to pulse, it's as if our cheeks had heartbeats which was a really cool feeling. We left it on for about half an hour and after we washed the clay off, our faces were very red but our skin was deeply cleansed, soft and tight. Very tight! And the lines in our foreheads had softened. Unfortunately it also brought up a lot of junk to the surface (like blackheads and a big pimple for me, and a few zits and blackheads for my bestie) but it was good because then we could deal with the little buggers. Eventually the redness disappeared, too. I highly recommend this mask! The packaging isn't glamorous but who cares? I'll still be using the honey mask but I'll be adding the Aztec clay once a week to my skincare routine, especially throughout my pregnancy since my skin has been looking less than stellar lately. (Thanks hormones!)
Hope you're all having a good week!

I've heard about this stuff but never tried it myself! May have to take a trip to Whole Foods, haha

You can buy it in a few of the smaller health stores in Edmonton - the one by the food court in City Centre mall definitely has it! I first bought it when I was in Hawai'i and swear by it too!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome mask that lasts forever! My skin isn’t nearly as rough, red, or broken out as it used to be. Highly recommend.
ReplyDeleteAztec Indian healing clay is a terrific mask that lasts forever! My skin isn't almost as rough, red, or split as it used to be. Highly suggested.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try this Aztec Indian healing clay out and see how it works. I followed the directions on the Aztec Secret website for my study, as written here the Benefits of an Aztec healing clay mask, and it seems as though you are supposed to let it dry to pull out the impurities. They also note that there will be mild redness. Thanks for the insight... once I try it, I'll update it.
