I Don't Mess Around

Yesterday it was -30 degrees outside and I saw a woman in the parking lot at the grocery store wearing a short skirt with bare legs, heels and a light jacket walking like a newborn horse on the ice. This was Safeway on a Monday afternoon, it wasn't like she was going clubbing with her girlfriends. She must have been SO COLD! Unless she didn't shave her legs for six months prior and had a good layer of insulation to keep her warm but I didn't see any fuzz. I saw goosebumps. I, on the other hand, don't mess around when it comes to dressing appropriately for the weather because I cannot STAND being cold. (Ask my fiance, we constantly argue over the temperature on our thermostat at home.) The warmest jacket I own is the one above, from Esprit, that I bought at least four years ago. It's down-filled which is Canadian for SUPER WARM. And I enjoy being warm ; ).

jacket - Esprit, sweater - ? (old), jeans - Joe's, booties - Aldo, beanie - Zara

  1. Wow, what an insane woman ! H aha. You look nice and warm though. I need to get myself a crazy warm coat for our cold days, though they aren't as cold as yours

  2. She was wearing SHORTS?! I am in shock, and I'm sure her body was too. That's ridiculous, it's way too cold for that
This is a great coat for the epic cold we've been experiencing

  4. When it's ridiculously cold you are wearing the right thing. You look so pretty, the puffed coat here looks stylish too! x/Madison:)

  5. I am constantly appalled by the clothing choices of people I come across in the Winter. I just translate it to stupidity - it's actually dangerous to be that underdressed when it's so cold. It drives me nuts! I'm all about dressing warm and being comfortable. In fact, I think I have that exact jacket!

  9. I have also not been messing around the part week with my winter dressing but you look super stylish whereas I looked like a semi-deranged hobo with mismatched mitts and a really overly bulky coat. Not to mention wrapping my head in a scarf because it was warmer than my toque.
