My Skincare Routine

Since I started my blog more than two years ago I've gotten quite a few questions about my skincare routine but I never posted about all the products I use because they were always changing, I was always testing out different ones. I've finally found products I trust in and use over and over again and can finally share them with you!

Day: After I wash my face with hot water and a face cloth and pat dry, I apply Vivier Skin Rejuvenating Antioxidant Serum 20 all over my face. I use Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm under my eyes and Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense SPF 25 Moisturizer with White Tea as my day cream.

Night: I take off my makeup with MAC wipes (not pictured), cleanse my face using NeoStrata Gel Cleanser and my Clarisonic Mia which I love (click here to read all about it). I wait 15 minutes then apply a pea-sized amount of Retin-A Micro which is an acid form of Vitamin A prescribed by my doctor (I asked, she gave) and an amazing wrinkle-fighter. I wait 15 minutes for that to soak in and then apply NeoStrata Hydra-Infusion Creme.

Twice a week I will exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Srub and swap my night cream for Coconut Oil which is a fantastic moisturizer. It's oily but it absorbs well. I also use this face mask twice a week. It's AMAZING!

And that's that! Oh, and I also get micro-dermabrasion and facials once or twice a year, depending on if a great Groupon deal presents itself ; ). And I don't get little zits. Instead, I get huge-ass pimples that take up my whole chin every once in awhile and this is how I get rid of those. (It really works!)

What types of products do you use on your face? Let me know in the comment section below! I'd love to hear what everyone else uses!

  3. Cheryl: I went to Laser Sheer Advanced Skin Rejuvenation on 124 St. downtown for both a facial and microdermabrasion. And I had a facial at a spa just off of 23rd avenue and 111th st. which was really good. I can't remember the name though! Sorry.

  13. I love St. Ives, it's a good go-to, inexpensive, and works like a charm! I switch my routine slightly for the seasons. I'm loving Perricone products as well.

  14. I love coconut oil too - i've been melting a teaspoon in tea / coffee to take it internally! I like the sound of that Retin-A-Micro. I might investigate.

  17. 3 Studies PROVE How Coconut Oil Kills Belly Fat.

This means that you actually kill fat by consuming coconut fats (including coconut milk, coconut cream and coconut oil).

These 3 studies from major medical journals are sure to turn the conventional nutrition world around!
