Just how cold is it in my neck of the woods? The temperature was -43 with the windchill yesterday. Yes, you read that right. Minus FORTY THREE! It's so cold that if I went outside with wet hair it would freeze in minutes and break off if I tried to bend it. It's so cold that I have to warm up my car and start it 15-20 minutes before I actually want to drive it. It's so cold that I don't want to drive. Period. All I want to do is stay inside, curl up on my couch with hot chocolate, with my fire place roaring, the heat turned up to 22 (I like it hot!) and watch movies until this cold spell passes. It's sooooooo cold that even though I've lived in this climate my whole life (minus the two years I lived in Vancouver which was tropical compared to here) I still complain and whine about it every year as if it's shocking! But really, it's expected. But I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
Are you experiencing ridiculously chilly temps right now? Or do you live somewhere where it's 20 above? You 'twenty-aboves' make me so jealous.
Okay, enough about the weather. My rant is over.

ReplyDeleteThese photos are AMAZING, seriously so wonderful. Do you know what setting you had it on to get this depth of field? It's so hard to get this when using a tripod.

ZOMG how are you outside taking pictures in these temperatures?!?! I hope Mr. Miedreich wears gloves too. It's in the -20s (Celcius) here right now...luckily I don't have to work for the next two days, so all I AM doing is staying inside, curling up on the couch with hot chocolate next to the fireplace. IT'S AWESOME.

You look adorable! So wintery & cute! I keep complaining about how cold it is here lately, but I cannot even imagine -43! That is insane! It's been more in that -17 range here, which is cold enough for me. There is usually only maybe one day a week that the temps creep up to -5 or so, when I will brave blog photos, but winter blogging is the pits!

ReplyDeleteOMG, Marie! Negative 43??? I grew up in upstate NY and it never even got that cold. That is CRAZY. I think you're totally entitled to complain haha. Will it make things better if I tell you you look really cute/don't look cold?! ;)
