Their Makeup Artists Need to be Fired

Just Sayin'! First pasty Nicole, then oblivious Uma and now poor Ashley Judd has fallen victim to cocaine-face this week at her book signing with what I call a 'Makeup Malfunction." How embarrassing! Especially when captured in photos for the whole world to see. Ladies, if you're going out this weekend and will be using powder on your face make sure you spread and blend. Repeat.

Have a great weekend! And don't forget to enter my giveaway here!

Update: People have been messaging and tweeting me telling me that the makeup used on these celebrities is most likely mineral makeup like Make Up Forever"s HD Powder or similar which is great for H.D.T.V. but not for photos. Apparently.

  2. Gossmakeupartist on youtube said that the culprit was Makeupforever's HD powder that was giving some artists the whitish pale look!

  3. ahhhh! so scary! how do they not see that when they look in the mirror?

  4. i heard from a makeup artist that it's using those mineral makeups that lead to cocaine face. something about the minerals reflecting the light in a certain way that makes it look white.

whatever it is, it's fucking tragic.

  5. Is it wrong that this makes me happy...kind of makes them seem more human & relatable somehow :)

  6. TracyD: It's all good! I feel the same way when I see cellulite on celebrities ; )

  7. Hey! Yup, exactly what your update said. Eva Longoria had a HORRIFIC set of pics released with the same BAD powdery makeup. It's for the cameras and doesn't show up on camera film aparently. But STILL. You should think they'd be able to switch when they're NOT on film?

  8. by cameras, I mean Movie cameras. At least that what the article I read said. *shrugs*

  9. my question is how could these celebs not get a good look in the mirror ?
it just looks so obvious that something is very wrong with the application . it's like they baked something and flour went everywhere !

  15. They look so funny with that white powder, itțs like they didnțt checked the mirror before going out.
Thank you so much for asking your hairstylist about the color you have, i asked because it's gorgeous.

  16. I've seen this before, too. I guess the HD thing makes sense, but don't their make-up artists know that they will look silly when they're photographed, which they are bound to be.

  17. I always forgo the use of my MUFE HD setting powder, as well as foundations with a high SPF because they photograph so poorly! (especially when you're in a darker setting...like a bar.LOL) Flash photography pics up the reflection....

These girls needed to blend blend blend!

  19. Good thing I'm perfectly content with my Physician's Formula powder. It definitely doesn't do this! I've seen the picture of Uma before, but I didn't realize it had happened to Nicole Kidman before too. How horrible!

  26. Oh my goodness that is a major make up malfunction -oh dear. I'd hate to have those kinds of pictures circulating. I'll consider myself warned on this particular product, I might skip this look for my next evening out. ;-) xx veronika

  29. Oh, geez... talk about not blending. Poor Uma looks much older here than she actually is... I think it's just a bad photo, she's usually gorgeous. xo

  30. Im pretty sure I remember hearing that they were all wearing MUFE's HD Powder. While it is good for television it can sometimes show up as an unblended white powder when photographed (with a flash).

  31. AWww this makes me really sad for them! Such a weird thing.... I actually have a sample of the M/U Forver powder, I might just have to test it out and see! Craziness!! I wear it sometimes and it is pretty white but still...
I have been researching their new foundation, sounds amazing!!
