sweater - Kensie (Sears)    jeggings and turqoise ring - H&M    shirt - GAP    boots - Spring

First of all I want to thank my readers for all your sweet comments in my last post! I'm so glad you liked the makeup looks my cousin Lisa created. I answered all of your questions in the comment section of that post and if you have anymore questions for Lisa about anything, like what products she recommends, make-up industry questions, etc. please do as I'll be putting together a Q & A with her shortly.

Did you all have a good weekend? Don't they go by way too fast??? I hate that! I'm really looking forward to taking some time off in two and half weeks just to relax and enjoy the holiday season. This is what I wore yesterday to run some errands and do some shopping. It was quite warm and beautiful out, I really did feel like I was in a Winter Wonderland yesterday with the beautiful trees draped with snow, all the Christmas lights everywhere, the holiday music playing in every store I walked into...I love it all! I am proud to announce that I'm done ALL of my Christmas shopping except for one person - my boyfriend - who is the hardest person to shop for. (Anyone else have this problem???) It doesn't help that when I ask him what he would like he tells me to save my money and put it in my RRSP account. Grrrr... I have a couple of ideas though...

So I got this Kensie cardigan at Sears a couple of weeks ago because I'd been eye-ing it for weeks. It was expensive but I was so in love with the fit, the color and the print it I just sucked it up and bought it. Luckily for me, a week later it went on sale for 50% off so I went back to Sears and they adjusted my bill and I got cash back. So I went to Sephora and spent that money on some makeup. Oops.

Have a great start to your week!

That is a great sweater - so perfect for cuddling up in the winter. I've also finished all my shopping except for my husband (who is also really hard to shop for) - but I always have a lot of fun shopping for him so it will keep occupied for the rest of the month.

I like your sweater and omggg yes boyfriends are the hardest people to shop for. because everything they want are like electronics over $300 bucks its not like they're like us who get excited over a coat or a necklace lol

You look great, Marie! I love that ring. And I have most of my Christmas shopping done as well! Doesn't it feel good to have it done before Christmas Eve? Haha sometimes I procrastinate, but this year I've been on my A-game!

Isn't great getting money back and being able to re-spend it on clothes or make up in your case! And I see the weather seems less chilly or were you just being brave? Cute cardi!

Wow I didn't know you could ask them to adjust the bill and get cash back... probably depends on how nice the people there are but what a great idea. I love jeggings with boots. Do you - at some point when it gets really, really cold - need to wear tights under jeans?

Marie a la Mode said...

Cafe Bellini: Yes, when it gets really cold out (like -25 degrees celsius) I wear tights under my pants. I don't want to freeze my patooties off!

gorgeous sweater, M!It's really the center of attention! And your tinkerbell bun pulled the look together. Very clean and chic :D

Yes, shopping for the bf is very challenging (and I thought I knew him inside out!) But thank God we've agreed to not buy each other a Christmas present so we can save up for a puppy next year. Boo yeah :D

Alexandra: Wow, thank you! I do Pilates twice a week and the gym or a Yoga class once a week. I used to teach Pilates - about 8 or 9 classes a week but I haven't taught in a long time...

I love the cardigan! I can't believe you got it at sears!! I had seen it online before (piperlime, and maybe somewhere else) but I never thought to check sears! You look lovely! And good job with the Christmas shopping... I would say I am only about 30% done. I LOVE that your boyfriend says to put the money in an RRSP instead. Hilarious, and oh so practical!

Oh yeah! And meant to comment back re: Joe Fresh! You got the dress! Gah! So jealous! I still haven't been able to track it down, I don't think it's in my province at all. I have my sister in Halifax on the hunt for it! SO pretty, can't wait to see you sport it on here!

That's awesome, I didn't know you could take back clothes that go on sale and get reimbursed - smart!

Apparently our climates this weekend were not the same, because it was absolutely freezing here (and still is)! I wish I could wear this outfit of yours out right now, but I would die. For realz. But you look adorable! Love your booties.

And hey, any money spent at Sephora is money well spent. No oop's allowed!
