Fashion Prescription

via mango, redglassesblog, cocorosa, girlswithglasses, myportiswaspsays, studded hearts

Glasses never looked so chic! Do you wear them? Necessity or accessory? Or both? They're a necessity for me when I don't feel like wearing my contacts for 16 hours straight. I'm in L-O-V-E with the glasses the Olsen (Mary Kate? Ashley? Uncle Jesse?) is wearing and want them very badly.

  5. I split my time between my glasses and my contacts - I genuinely like the way I look in glasses and being able to wear them sometimes gives me a whole new set of looks so even though I spent most of my teenage years lamenting that I had to have them, I've grown into them.

  7. I must confess that I Adore the first picture in this series of images. The splash of red lip colour is glamorous and all feminine - The spectacles give it a sort of "Edge" which I appreciate.

  8. They're cute! I do wear glasses or contacts, but my glasses are SO bulky... bad eyesight!

I always think to myself, these look like those Hello Kitty nerdy glasses whenever I see someone wearing them, lol.

  10. I have perfect vision (not to toot my own horn or anything) but have fake glasses that I wear on occasion just because I love the way they look. Is that totally lame? Sometimes when I don't feel like putting on as much makeup or doing my hair I'll just throw my hair up in a bun and put on my fakes! I think they can be really chic. I love all of these pictures for sure.

  14. I totally get that. I loooove my Burberry glasses the Mexican got for me for my birthday (see my birthday post). They are tricky to wear tho. I find that I have to wear a bit more makeup with them for them to look chic. Otherwise I just look like a nerd!

  15. They definately look chic on alot of people, I wear contacts and only wear glasses at home!

  16. Yup, glasses are super hot right now! (I hated glasses for years and Thanked God everyday for the invention of contacts) because I'm blind as a bat. Now that they're trendy I don't know what to make of it! Everyone who's trying to appear artsy, cool or hip is wearing them. And people like Justine Timberlake are wearing them so he'll be considered a "serious actor". I Do love the Olsen twins pair and I would definitely wear them. But to wear them all the time as a necessity is another thing altogether!
Bold frames CAN overpower the face and dominate so much that you really lose yourself behind them. Frame selection is EVERYTHING!
    Great post!!!

  17. Marie! what a cool post, indeed the glasses never looked so chic and I totally love just as you the ones from Ashley Olsen (I think it is her). It gives a chic look! But also the ones from Clemence Poesy! There are days I wish I could wear them but then again I am glad to not need them.
Cant wait to see you wearing some!

  20. I love this pink ones, they're just fun! Olsen's are adorable too!

I had Lasik a few years ago of many years of contact/glasses disasters. Although it was the best money I've ever spent sometimes I miss the way glasses could change up a look. Even though they sell non Rx versions I know I'll never get around to picking up a pair!

  34. Hey beautiful! Thanks for commenting on my blog.

To answer your question...I didn't have any lipliner to match my new lippie, so I just put it on as carefully as I could with a brush and cleaned it up with some concealer. Hope that helps :)
